Abstract
The goal of our project is to construct a GUI (grafic user interface) for the so called French Flag Problem. This problem is solved by an organism which is implemented in a Java Framework, called DIGO, created by Christian ALT. The framework implements a digital organism, which evolves using the JEvolution framework. This organism is made up of individual cells which all have the same control program. Using the control program, it is possible that all the cells change their position, color property, release mediators, replicate themselfs, merge or die. The result of the evolution process is the best control program for the cells which solves the French Flag Problem.
Our part is to build a GUI, where the winning algorithm of the evolution is used to show each step of the cell formation until the French Flag is visible.
