Welcome to our project page concerning ``Evolutionary Optimization of Radar Antenna Arrays''. This project is part of the course PS Natural Computation.

Project description

Antenna arrays are widely used in radar applications for their increased directivity compared to single antennas. Since an array's radiation properties depend on the number of individual transmitters in the antenna and how they are positioned, we aim to find optimal settings of the antennas in particular to provide side-lobe minimization and main-lobe optimization. To this end, an evolutionary approach for calculating the most efficient element distribution is presented using the JEvolution package for Java.
